John Hoang (Dis B John)

DJ / Event Host

John started his musical journey at 5, playing on the piano. He grew up with classical music and played the violin for 8 years. In ’99, he got his first turntables with some buddies and hasn’t stopped since.

John grew up in the Dallas electronic dance music scene spinning trance and breakbeats and now spins all genres including Top 40, Dance, Hip Hop, and Retro. He has held many residencies and performed in the top clubs in Dallas including Karma, Sting, Blue, Che, Wish, Red Jacket, Liquid, 8 Lounge, Buddha 9, Shadow Lounge, Spy, M:5 (Area 51), and Bronco Bowl.

He has also been able to travel across the U.S. performing in many cities including Minneapolis, Wichita, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Biloxi, Charlotte, Fayateville, OKC, Kansas City, and Atlanta.

Now focused on weddings since 2011, John has performed at hundreds of weddings all over Texas and beyond.

Johnny Nguyen

Event Host

Born in Kansas, Johnny always had thing for music while growing up. Family was just too poor for him to play any instruments so he just learned to bang on pots, pans and air guitar with a fly swatter.
Johnny started promoting in 1998 with a few friends that went to college with him and shortly after picked up djing and was taught how so by a girl. Started off by playing breakbeats and ran with it by storm from 99-2003. In 2004, Johnny met David Lam and he taught him how to remix and Johnny dedicated that time to remixing tracks into breaks. Johnny’s music choice now is hip hop, house, and with a little dubstep. He has Deejayed with fellow Dis B John, Devo, and many others throughout the club scene in Dallas from venues such as Red Jacket, Area 51, Blue, Liquid, 8 Lounge, Plush, and recently V Bar inside the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.

Djing has a very special place in his heart. He tells himself that he will let it go someday, but he doesn’t see it happening anytime soon.
