DJ David Lam

Born in Los Angeles in 1986, raised in Austin, as a kid David loved electronic music, Power Rangers, breaking things, real fruit roll-ups, beaches, and all things California… the weather. He always had a fascination with music, the technicalities, and the sounds that go with it.
In 2000, with no musical background, some trial and error, a wee bit of creativity, patience, and some time, he created his first bootleg track (The song also became the first track on another DJ’s mixtape in the following months.) As time went on, friend and DJ, Tien (DJ SmoothT – Who also used one of DAVIDSG’s bootleg tracks on one of his mixtapes) began giving him Tips and Tricks for a better end result. As production got better he began sending them to DJ friends who in turn played them in their sets at gigs. DJing began shortly after thanks to DJ Dis B John, who loaned him his gear. After some practice, he began performing with friends in Austin’s downtown district at Empire, Paradox, and Skyy Bar to name a few. He has also performed in the top clubs with friends in Dallas including, Red Jacket, Liquid, Shadow Lounge, Area 51, and DNA. He also performed in Oklahoma City and Detroit. You can still find him DJing in Austin and the Dallas area.
DJ John Hoang (Dis B John)

John started his music at 5, playing on the piano. He grew up with classical music and played the violin for 8 years. In ’99, he got his first turntables with some buddies and hasn’t stopped since.
John grew up in the Dallas electronic dance music scene spinning trance and breakbeats and now spins all genres including Top 40, Dance, Hip Hop, and Retro. He has held many residencies and performed in the top clubs in Dallas including Karma, Sting, Blue, Che, Wish, Red Jacket, Liquid, 8 Lounge, Buddha 9, Shadow Lounge, Spy, M:5 (Area 51), and Bronco Bowl.
He has also been able to travel across the U.S. performing in many cities including Minneapolis, Wichita, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Biloxi, Charlotte, Fayateville, OKC, Kansas City, and Atlanta. After 10 years of having multiple residencies weekly, he got burnt out and wasn’t enjoying deejaying as much. He took a much needed break and focused on his loved ones and career.
Now back with a re-invigorated passion, John can be seen spinning at private events, weddings, and local events.
